With the Phonevite Recorder launched, click on the microphone bar and adjust the volume so that, as you are recording, the shifting sound level indicators fit as much as possible within the two horizontal dotted lines.

Some audio hardware devices have their own volume/mixer control. In such cases, please adjust the volume within the device.

The recording process is very simple:

• Click on Record on the Web.
• Enter a name for the recording.
• Press the record button to start recording.
• Press the stop button to end the recording.
• Press Play to review.
• Adjust microphone and headphone volume as needed.
• Record and review until satisfied.
• Upload & Close to save the recording.

The maximum recording time for a message is 2 minutes.

To add background music, simply open a music player (e.g. Windows Media Player, Real Player, iTunes) and play the song while making your recording. We recommend you lower the volume of your player so that your voice can be heard dominantly.
